Do this every day
Productivity in the workplace or in your personal life is here for the taking. First of all, if you’re like most small business owners, you juggle a lot of work. And most of it is hands-on, with you straight in the middle of it all.
But being busy doesn’t necessary make you productive. Stop. Take a look at the guy in the picture. How productive is he? On two calls, drinking coffee and I guess fixing a clock. How much work did he get done? Did he satisfy the callers? He won’t fix the clock, he’s using the wrong tool, lol. I don’t know why he has a wrench. Do you?
Productivity Starts With Planning
If you don’t plan for success, you plan to lose. It’s true for test taking, building a business and running the day to day operation. You have to know where you’re value lays. Understand what tasks only you can accomplish and which jobs you need to clear your table to get it done right.
Stay in the now everyday to stay productive
Business and life are dynamic, ever changing situations. Determining the most valuable use of your time may change from situation to situation.
One day, you have to get inventory straighten out, the next may be that pesky client with all the questions. If you can multi-task, I say do it, but if you can’t, don’t.
You have to understand what is the most valuable use of your time for you.
